Composer of Concert & Film Music
One of the most characteristic and prolific Polish composers. Started composing at the age of 13. His works has been commissioned by many renowned orchestras, soloists and ensembles throughout the world, such as: The Polish Royal Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Calgary Philharmonic, The New Music Orchestra, etc. He is an author of the opera works, symphonies, concertos, chamber, solo and vocal pieces as well as film and theater music. For a couple of years, Opalka worked in Hollywood with some A-list composers. Currently he teaches at The Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. More info in PDF.

Recording session with The LSO

Just got back from London, where I had recording session with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ben Palmer. My work "To Those We've Lost" was recorded by Nick Wollage at the Abbey Road Studios. It's a part of "The Hope" Album led by Andreas Graf. More info about the project will come soon. "Dimorphos" at NOSPR
December 10, 2023
"Dimorphos" was premiered in September in Zakopane. A double concerto for basset horn, bass clarinet & chamber orchestra was performed by Roman Widaszek, Jaga Czarkowska & OMN Ensemble conducted by Szymon Bywalec. Second performance took place at NOSPR, Katowice with the same performers on December 10.

Laminar Circulations – World Premiere

The world premiere of my new work "Laminar Circulations" will take place at Nowa Mood Concert Hall in Warsaw. Newly commissioned piece will performed by Maciej Frąckiewicz & Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet.

A bunch of new works coming

This Fall I will have a couple of world premieres: Dimorphos – double concerto for basset horn, bass clarinet and orchestra will receive its world premiere in Zakopane on September 13th. A new work commissioned by Sinfonia Varsovia for Maciej Frąckiewicz and Sinfonia Varsovia Quintet will be premiered in Warsaw on October 27th. Sam – a new play directed by Paweł Paszta with my score will have its premiere on September 10th in Gorzów.
A New Album Premiere~

CUEMS album premieres on January 27! It features electronic and electroacoustic works by Polish Composers. My work featured on this album is titled PARTY CRASHER. The premiere will be followed by Dolby Atmos mixed works specially for this event! Warsaw, Chopin University of Music, 7.pm!

BALLADYNA soundtrack album will be released worldwide on November 25th, 2022
The score for BALLADYNA directed by Paweł Paszta is a blend of eerie folk and slavic sounds with electronic landscapes and sonoristic percussion sounds.
